Kristīne Vainovska TwidwellExecutive Director LACC Board of Directors is pleased to announce our first Executive Director supporting LACC, Kristīne Vainovska Twidwell. Kristīne has served on the LACC Board since last September and brings over 10 years of experience in the nonprofit industry, of which over seven have been spent with chambers of commerce. In addition to LACC Executive Director role, Kristīne is the Foundation Director at the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce serving the Missouri / Kansas bi-state region. Kristīne, her husband Michael, along with their dog Hodor live in Independence, Missouri, hometown of former US President Harry Truman. As Executive Director, Kristīne will be tasked with better organizing LACC, with an eye on more timely and proactive support for our members, our Regional Directors and our strategic partners. Although this will be a part-time role, Kristīne will undoubtedly enable the LACC to be better positioned for future growth. You may contact her at [email protected] As the Foundation Director at KC Chamber, Kristīne directly oversees the day-to-day operations, works with the Board of Directors and Advisory Council, as well as manages the grantor/grantee relationships of to the KC Chamber’s civic investment vehicle – the KC Chamber Foundation. Kristīne has nearly ten years of experience in grant writing, management, compliance, and reporting including overseeing relationships with government, private, and corporate funding partners. Most recently, Kristīne successfully administered grants and oversaw Foundation’s annual budget of over $1,000,000.00. Kristīne earned a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, and Associate in Arts from Metropolitan Community College. Kristīne calls herself an accidental non-profit professional from Latvia who has become a steward of philanthropy in Greater Kansas City. Her experience ranges from higher education, direct service nonprofits to membership association with an eye and talent for building, streamlining and re-energizing programs, processes, and initiatives. “Kansas City is my home away from home.
