Luncheon with Executives of the Climate and Energy Ministry of Latvia and Latvenergo
Latvian - American Chamber of Commerce, Colorado Chapter is organizing a Luncheon with executives of the Climate and Energy Ministry of Latvia and Latvenergo, a state-owned electric utility company in Latvia. Latvenergo is among the most valuable companies in Latvia with revenues exceeding 1 billion EUR.
Latvenergo plans to implement renewable energy projects in the domestic market as well as outside it with a capacity of 2,300 MW by 2030. This includes investment in onshore and offshore wind, as well as solar. The company is also exploring the potential for hydrogen in its portfolio.

Our guests will deliver a presentation on Energy Challenges caused by Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022. This lead to Latvia swiftly moving towards reducing energy dependency and imports from Russia. This included halting all natural gas imports in 2022 and replacing with LNG, a significant share of which has come from the United States.
Presentation will be followed by networking. Light appetizers and refreshments will be provided.
