Regional Director for Brazil As President of the Associação Brasileira de Cultura Leta – Brazilian Latvian Cultural Association (ABCL), Felipe elevated the organization’s profile. Under his leadership, ABCL achieved official recognition as a public utility organization and secured a 7,000 square meter area to serve as the association’s headquarters. He also initiated various projects and expanded the events portfolio, including the annual Ligo Festival, which celebrates Latvian culture in Brazil. His leadership in the ABCL also involved coordinating visits from Latvian authorities to Brazil, ensuring comprehensive support throughout these diplomatic engagements. Felipe’s approach to international business development is grounded in strategic data-driven decision-making, aimed at facilitating successful market entry and growth for Latvian companies in Brazil. He has provided consultancy and market analysis to help Latvian businesses navigate the Brazilian market, guiding them through participation in trade fairs and exhibitions. Residing in Nova Odessa, Brazil, Felipe is deeply connected to both Latvian and Brazilian cultures, a unique perspective that enhances his ability to foster strong relationships between businesses and organizations from both countries. He is married to Renate de Carvalho Albrecht, who is the President of DAKLA (Dienvidamerikas un Karību Latviešu Apvienība) and a board member of PBLA (Pasaules Brīvo Latviešu Apvienība). Together, they are committed to passing on Latvian traditions and culture to their daughters.
