Raimonds Lapiņš

General Commissioner of the Republic of Latvia

Raimonds Lapiņš is General Commissioner of the Republic of Latvia, at EXPO2020 Dubai and the Deputy State Secretary on Economic Development, Business Competitiveness, and Innovation of the Ministry of Economics of Latvia. He is currently in charge of implementation of multiple EU funds programmes, as well as development and implementation of structural policy, entrepreneurship, and innovation policy.

Mr. Lapiņš has more than 15 years of professional experience at the Ministry of Economics of Latvia as well as the Latvian Investment and Development Agency, which has mainly been related to the industrial, innovation and entrepreneurship development, as well as planning, implementation, and supervision of EU funds programmes. He’s also experienced in the private sector and acquisition of new export markets.
