Partner Event – PBLA aka World Federation of Free Latvians – PLEIF aka World Latvian Economics and Innovations Forum 2025
This summer, the Pasaules Brīvo Latviešu Apvienība (PBLA) is once again hosting the World Latvian Economics and Innovations Forum in Riga on July 10 at the iconic National Library. Many of you joined us at the last Forum in the summer of 2023 and we want to invite you back this summer!
The Forum was created by Latvian-American businesspeople in 2013 to connect Americans and Westerners with Latvia so that we can share ideas and experiences. The Forum takes place every 2 years, and in 2023, almost 500 people attended in person with another 600 joining online.
Over the years, and including this year, executives from international firms such as Google, Meta, Michelin, and Procter & Gamble have presented at the conference. Similarly, virtually all leading Latvian firms have presented including Printful, MikroTik, Luminor Bank, Air Baltic, Valmiera Glass, and Primekss, to name a few.
In addition to valuable presentations from the business community, this year, as in the past, the conference will start with our “power panel” of government representatives, led by President Edgars Rinkēvičs, and joined by Prime Minister Evika Siliņa, Foreign Minister Baiba Braže and Defense Minister Andris Sprūds. For more info and full agenda – www.wleif.lv.
As an added bonus for our LACC friends, we want to invite you to an opening reception on Wednesday night, July 9, at the Riga Opera House, and to a luncheon at the Presidential Palace on the day following the conference, July 11. The conference is taking place during the Youth Song Festival which is not quite at the level of the official Song Festival, but close! PBLA can facilitate tickets for you to Festival events. Finally, due to PBLA’s network of contacts, we are happy to arrange one-on-one meetings for LACC members with potential business partners in Riga.
We look forward to seeing you in Riga!
